Clean, quiet, and charming retreat
The Sefton provided a warm ambiance with a clean, spacious room that had a cozy lounge area. Andy, the new owner, was incredibly friendly and even researched tram prices for us!
The only drawback was the location. though quieter, it was about a 30-minute walk from the bustling central attractions, which may not suit everyone’s preference.

Exceptional stay with a fantastic breakfast
We really enjoyed our time at this well-maintained hotel. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that cleanliness is a top priority, and our room had a lovely bay window with a nice view. The full English breakfast was truly exceptional, setting us up perfectly for our daily adventures. The nearby tram stop made getting around super easy, which we really appreciated. One small downside was that we could’ve used a bit more storage space for our luggage.

The room was newly decorated and had a homely feel, with tea and coffee making facilities. Quality toiletries provided. The shower was consistently hot and the overall cleanliness of the bathroom was commendable.
Heating in my room was only on at specific times, which made for chilly late nights due to a cold draught from a locked door. WiFi connection struggled in certain areas of the property, which could be easily fixed with a booster. Breakfast was rather lackluster. wait times were long and portions felt small for the price paid.

The Standard Twin Room was really comfy and felt super modern. I loved the added seating area, making it a nice place to relax. It had a sleek bathroom and plenty of charging ports available, which was a sweet bonus. Just a quick walk from the tram stop helped us get around easily. But, I do wish there were a bit more storage space for our bags. it was a lovely experience.

The cleanliness of the room was top-notch, giving it a fresh vibe that made our stay comfortable. The set-up in the suite was great, with a separate seating area making it cozy after a long day out.
The shower pressure was pretty inconsistent and fluctuated unexpectedly, which was quite annoying during my morning routine. there was a noticeable cold draught coming from behind the dressing table, making late-night comfort a bit challenging. The WiFi connection in some areas was weak, leaving me disconnected at times when I needed it most. with the heating only operating at specific times, I often found the room chilly during the late hours.
